In 1999, Annette and Caitlin Rogers of Tendayi Kennels, first came across the Brittany in a dog magazine and fell in love with the breed. It wasn’t long after this, that we purchased a lovely bitch from Fiona Brown-Elkner—Tobenlee Kennels, in Melbourne, Australia. Aust Ch Tobenlee Th Bear Facts “Riley”became our foundation bitch, who not only made her mark in the show ring with multiple in Group and in Show awards, but made history as the dam of the first Brittany to win a Best in Show award in Australia—Multi BIS Ch Tendayi Dare Ya Ta Whispa “Spinner”. Spinner was purchased by Fiona Brown-Elkner of Tobenlee Brittanys where his successful show career took off.

It wasn’t until 2001 that we purchased our first Import from Linda Holcomb - renowned Breezewater Brittany Kennels in the United States, a linebred Ffynant, Gilkey and Jordean breeding.—Aust Ch. Breezewater Com Fly With Me (imp USA) “Fly”.Fly is a remarkable bitch, who gained her Australian title with ease and was mated in 2002 to Aust Ch. Rocklan Jordean Night Hawk (Imp USA) owned by Fiona Brown-Elkner. Two outstanding dogs came out of this litter and it wasn't until then, that Tendayi Kennels knew that something special had arrived; Aust Ch Tendayi Too Die For (AI) “Hunter” and Multi BIS/BISS/RUBISS Aust GR Ch. Tendayi Mark My words “Logan”.Hunter and Logan have both made incredible impacts within the show ring with multiple Class in Group, in Show, Best in Show, Best in Specialty Show, Runner Up Best in Specialty Show, Best in Groups and Runner up in Group awards. Because of these boys, we haven’t looked back since, and as they say, the rest is history…
